Nazim Rashid comes back to Next Coffee Co. October 3

It’s happening again. After his two amazing performances here at Next Coffee Co., we’re bringing Nazim Rashid and his New Renaissance Quartet back for another Friday evening of smooth sax and acoustic jazz.

Nazim Rashid has played with some of the world’s foremost masters of jazz, including Eddie Harris, Eddie Henderson, Billy Higgins, Richard “Groove” Holmes, Hank Jones, Arthur Prysock, and Pharoah Sanders.

Having studied with Eddie Harris and Joe Henderson, and after touring with The Coasters and The Drifters in the mid-’70s, Nazim went on to play the Bay Area for 13 years with the San Francisco Big Band and with his own sextet, The Nazim Rashid Sextet. Nazim now performs in the Phoenix, Ariz., area with his quartet, Nazim Rashid & New Renaissance.
