The young and talented jazz trio of Cody Rowlands, Zac Gillespie, and Brett Larsen will be back at Next Coffee Co. this Friday night. Don’t miss your chance to see these up-and-coming stars on the Arizona jazz scene.

Cody, Zac, and Brett are all members of the Young Sounds of Arizona.

Cody, a junior at Deer Valley High School, plays trumpet and piano and has performed with renowned jazz artists Wayne Bergeron, Rebeca Mauleón, and Tony Monaco. Cody has been featured on Channel 3’s Good Morning Arizona and Your Life A to Z, and he spent this summer in Boston, after winning a scholarship to the jazz performance summer program at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

Zac, a senior at Ironwood High School, plays trumpet and piano. Last summer, he also won a scholarship to attend the Berklee summer jazz performance program. He performed in Los Angeles last year with the 2008 Gibson/Baldwin GRAMMY Jazz Ensemble, and this summer, he was one of only 19 high school jazz artists invited to attend the highly selective Summer Jazz Colony at the Brubeck Institute in Stockton, Calif.

Brett is pursuing jazz studies at Mesa Community College.
