Belly Dancing February 12

Belly Dancing February 12

Shannon Conklin and Tammy Ellington have been dancing together since 2005. They are best friends in life, sisters on the dance floor, and co-directors and co-creators of Divine Chaos.  Tammy and Shannon both started their tribal journey at Domba studios under wonderful instructors such as Heidi Alexander, Samantha Riggs, Ellisha Tash, and Gina Zavala. They both fell in love with the emotion, creative expression and sense of community that came along with tribal style belly dance and joined the Domba family in May 2005, dancing in Bedouin Tribe’s student troupe, Zareen. In October 2007, Shannon and Tammy became members of Bedouin Tribe until they officially disbanded in November 2008.

With their roots in Domba Tribal, Indian Fusion, Fire Bellydance, Skirt, and Sword; Divine Chaos has developed a unique and signature style of their own.  Divine Chaos is a dance sisterhood that is as passionate as it is disciplined about its dance! They understand the importance of training and technical expertise and have become consummate learners and performers expanding their vocabulary with formal ATS, Veil, Burlesque, Hip Hop, and Double Fan to name a few. They are dedicated to working and playing hard, pushing boundaries, and creating and promoting the art form of Tribal Fusion Bellydance.

Divine Chaos performs throughout the valley at a variety of venues, from restaurants to festivals; from PF Changs Rock & Roll Marathon and First Friday Phoenix Art Walk to major events like Tribal Fest.
