The Australia-based blockchain energy firm Power Ledger has purchased a 250 kilowatt (kW) photovoltaic system that will make use of a blockchain-based data management and settlement system. Power Ledger purchased the system from Perdaman Advanced Energy, an Australian firm that provides clean energy consulting and project development. The Securities and Exchange Commission is continuing to apply pressure to Telegram , it is once again requesting that Telegram provide bank records on its Gram initial coin offering (ICO). The timing of the request, goes hand in hand with new evidence of alleged underwriters requesting commission fees for the sale of Telegram tokens. How will this battle between telegram and the SEC actually end? Crypto-friendly hotel booking giant Travala announced that Tether (USDT) is now a valid form of payment at its two million linked properties. Travala CEO Matt Luczynski said: “Part of our mission is to provide our users with a wide choice of the most well known and used cryptocurrencies so it made perfect sense for us to integrate USDT as a payment option on Travala.com.” There are mixed reactions about this move, will it be a positive one for Travala ? OneGold, which is an online marketplace for buying, selling and redeeming precious metals, announced a partnership with BitPay that will allow crypto users to purchase gold and other valuable metals on Android and iOS devices. Through the integration with BitPay — a leading Bitcoin payment service provider that currently supports over 30,000 merchants, including Microsoft and Avnet — OneGold’s new mobile app will accept payments in Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ether (ETH), and various stablecoins.
