It’s The Orthodox Christmas Eve! Russian And Other Orthodox Christians Are Preparing For Christmas

Orthodox Christians are preparing for Christmas Faithful are celebrating Chrismas eve It marks the end to the one of the longest fasts – Orthodox Christmas fast. Holiday services are ongoing in all churches – morning service in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour was led by Patriarch Kirill. Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill congratulated the faithful on Christmas/ The consequences of coming into the world of the Savior are so great that it’s even difficult to compare, it is impossible to compare them with other important civilizational changes that occurred before or after the savior. We celebrate coming of Christ to the world, the Light of Wisdom, and pray to the Lord that was born so that he would make each of us able to adopt these great consequences of God’s incarnation and to enrich our minds with faith and piety.
