July 15, 2018 Reply NotQuiteRamb0 PSA to anyone who has transferred VEN unwittingly from an exchange to the Vechain wallet and lost the info. It can be recovered. 1.Download imToken Version 1.4.6 (DO NOT DOWNLOAD imToken 2) from App Store;2.Export the keystore of the VeChainThor address from the VeChainThor wallet;3.Import the keystore file into an Ethereum wallet(e.g.Imtoken), you will be asked to input the password of the keystore. It is same as the wallet password you set in the VeChainThor wallet;4.If it is imported successfully, you will be able to restore this address in the Ethereum wallet and gain control over the ERC20 VEN token. 5.Remember to create a new VeChainThor wallet and follow the Manual. Please note the mnemonic phrase can not be used for recovery due to the different coin type between VeChainThor and Ethereum. NEVER transfer ETH or any ERC20 token (including ERC20 VEN) from an Ethereum wallet (such as MEW, imToken or Exchanges) to a VeChainThor address, and vice versa. It is because despite the address format are similar, Ethereum and VeChainThor are separate blockchains.
